Home » When Is A Party Not A Party?
In a week where people have mainly been discussing what is or isn’t a party and whether or not they’ve accidentally found themselves at a party or not, I’ve mainly been working on one of my regular website customers. I do really enjoy it and it’s my bread and butter, but I find myself consumed by it and everything else gets put on the backburner which is why my socials go quiet whenever it’s that time of the month.
It’s not all nose-to-the-grindstone though, I have managed to put aside some time to crack on with trying to learn how to play the piano (I really wish I’d started learning when I was younger – I love it so much), and I’ve put in some solid hours on Football Manager 2022 (career path – unemployed, Inter Miami, St. Pauli – I love it so much, I’ve been playing since I was younger). Oh yeah, and I’ve also done a new design. Week 2 – Design 2. I’m still on track! It’ll be up on the site later today and (in my opinion) it’s one of my best yet.
Inspired by pop art and a phrase which stuck with me after I heard it on a podcast, the two seemed to marry perfectly. I love pop art: it’s retro, cool, colourful, of course it’s going to be right up my street. I’d never attempted anything like this before and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. It’s definitely a style that I’ll be exploring in the future. I might even need to put a pop art category in my shop.
As for next week’s design: I’ve got a list of ideas as long as my arm but I don’t really know how to express them. I’ll give it some thought and I’m sure I’ll come up with something. It’ll probably be going into the ‘Typography’ category though, I’ll tell you that right now.
I’ve got a gig this weekend as well – a private party so I’d better get off and play some bass. I don’t want to experience that feeling of forgetting how to play a song and waiting until the last second before the muscle memory kicks in (or not, that’s even worse). Wish me luck.
Peace out x

“ I am a self-employed plasterer who wanted to advertise my business on Google. I contacted MaadWeb to find out my options. I found Adam very helpful over the phone, we arranged a meeting at my property and from there I was given the advice I needed. I made my decision on what I wanted and he put everything together for me. I am now advertising my services on Google. I found Adam to be very professional at his job and I am very pleased with the outcome. He told me to not hesitate to contact him if I needed to make any changes on the listing on Google or a website build. Thank you so much! ”
